Route Notes BC 28/10 4600m C1 31/10 5700m C2 01/11 6100m Hpt 02/11 6400m at Mushroom Ridge by Blum and Noble. Ang Kami, Ang Dawa, Blum and Noble set off from C2 at 10:15 pm on 1 Nov. They never really slept at C2 since they arrived from C1 the same day. They got to 6400m at maybe 4:30 am when they made the decision to turn around. Noble and Blum felt they were too slow and fatigued to go farther. They had been carrying heavy bags up to C1 the previous days and this had exhausted them too much. They went down to C1, arriving at 2 pm. Next day on 3 Nov down to BC. Beesley had a virus in Kathmandu and flew home before team left for Lukla. James Anstee spent a night at C2 on 1 Nov. He suffered from insomnia during expedition and felt he couldn't do it. On 2 Nov he went down from C2 to BC alone. Norwegian Sigve Solheim was on permit, but injured his shoulder before and didn't participate in expedition. Team left BC on 6 Nov. Oxygen: Taken for emergency, not used. Hired: Ang Kami, Makalu Ang Dawa, Makalu (sirdar)
