Route Notes From Ruben Payan Facebook posts: 26 Nov 2015 Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm here at Ama Dablam Basecamp at 4600M. We are resting for 2 days then off to Camp 1. The weather has been really kind to us and we're looking to hit the summit and make it back by the 8th of Dec. My body's holding up well but my feet needed a bit of recovery after the week of trekking in. 6 Dec 2015 UPDATE: There was a 5.5 earthquake here in the Khumbu region that triggered an avalanche above Camp 3. At that time we were at 6000M (going through the Yellow Tower) moving to Camp 2. We reached Camp 2 and made the decision to not make a summit attempt due to the fact that we have many more training climbs on our schedule before K2 next Summer. I did happen to capture the avalanche as it was happening. It's scaring when you're a sitting duck on the edge of a 2000M drop. All training for this climb was completed and we're trekking back to Lukla tomorrow. Love you all! Thank you for all your postive energy!
