| Route Notes | In the morning of 25 November during his summit push Ben Nun found that his boot sole had broken, but he continued climbing. Around 1 pm on the Yellow Tower about five meters below C2 he missed his hold and was hanging away from the rock face with 30 kg backpack. He struggled for more than two hours to reach to the rock face, but could not get into any hold and became exhausted. Then two Sherpas from Himalayan Guides came up and with their help Ben Nun went down to C1; it was completely dark. Next day he went down to BC and on 27 November he was heli-lifted to Kathmandu. He was not injured, but very exhausted. |
