Route Notes Krueckels, Roth and Schoepf went to C2 on 18 Oct. Roth and Schoepf assessed the situation and determined that with the weather conditions, time remaining and the amount of people at C2 they wouldn't be able to climb as fast as needed to reach the summit and decided to abandon their summit bid. They descended to C1 that day and snow started falling. Fei and Krueckels left for the summit on 19 Oct joining with the Amical Ama Dablam Expedition 2014. The rope-fixing team left C2 at 4 am and both teams allowed time to pass for the fixing team to fix the ropes. They pushed for the summit around 6 am and got there shortly after the fixing team. Remained on the summit for around a half hour at which point around 10-12 people also reached the summit from other teams. Snow was loose at summit. Weather good with on and off wind. Snow bars were visible on return from summit. Accident: Upon return from summit between C2 and C1, Fei was rapelling on the fixed rope and it broke. He fell, but was caught as he was also attached to a second rope. He only sustained cuts on his left arm.
