Route Notes On 18 Oct Kassar, Nickels and Stefanon got to C2, but did not feel well and had general feeling of tiredness. They made the decision to abandon the climb. They proceeded down to C1 that day, while the remainder of the team slept at C2. A lot of people at C2 on 18 Oct, so Comploi decided to ascend to C3 and sleep due to lack of space. Remaining team left for the summit on 19 Oct joining with the German Amical Ama Dablam Expedition 2014. Fixing team left C2 at 4 am and both teams allowed time to pass for the fixing team to fix the ropes. They pushed for the summit around 6 am and got there shortly after the fixing team. Remained on the summit for around a half hour at which point around 10-12 people also reached the summit from other teams. Snow was loose at summit. Weather good with on and off wind. Snow bars were visible on return from summit. Accident: Hellmuth fell on 8 Oct when coming down from C1 to ABC and broke his ribs. Helicopter came on 11 Oct returning him to Kathmandu. He then returned to Germany and plans to return this season to try and climb again.
