Route Notes Hashimoto, Ishii, Maeda, Matsumoto, Ang Dawa and Chhapte started their summit bid from C2 at 1:30 am on 22 October. Hashimoto, Ishii and Matsumoto turned around from 6500m to C2 since they were slow and getting late as it was already 2 pm. Maeda, Ang Dawa and Chhapte continued their climb and got to the top at 2:50 pm and stayed there for about 30 minutes. They returned to C2 at 8:30 pm and spent the night there. Maeda got sick and he was given oxygen. Next day 23 October Maeda was heli-lifted to Kathmandu from ABC and the rest of the members went down to BC. Accidents Maeda suffered from high altitude sickness at C2 (cough and fever).
