Route Notes The leader and one member reached only BC, left BC by helicopter because both of them had chest infections. In Kathmandu they spent a day in a hospital and did not return to the mountain. That left two members and one Sherpa, Doma Chhiri, to climb Ama Dablam. The three men went up to C1 on 17 November, discovered that there was no room at C2 for three more people, so went back to BC the next day. Fianto and Doma Chhiri moved up again at 8:30 am on the 21st from BC to C1, where Fianto put on his down suit, climbing boots and crampons and collected his climbing equipment at 5:00 pm. At 8:00 pm Fianto and Doma Chhiri started from C1 for the top and reached the summit at 12 noon the next day, the 22nd. They were extremely tired by the time they got down to other teams' C2. Sherpas with an expedition from the Himalayan Ascent trekking company agreed to let them sleep in their (the Sherpas') tent, where they stayed until 8:00 am on the following day. They finally reached BC at 1:00 pm. Syaifuddin had stayed in BC during this time. He had a cough and was satisfied to stay in BC in support of Fianto and Doma Chhiri.
