Team climbed up to C2 on 3 Nov and reached the camp at about 11 am. When the team noticed that the Sherpas had not been able to fix the ropes much higher than C2 due to the deep snow, they descended to BC, where they arrived at 5 pm. They had left some of their gear at C1 in the hope that they would go up again, but abandoned the idea as the snow was too deep. Yamamura intended to climb Island Peak for acclimatization on 28 Oct; however, he did not get up and decided to leave the expedition on 29 October. He did not even reach Ama Dablam BC. Sherpas: Pasang Kami Namgyal, Khumjung, 26 yrs
