Route Notes On 13th of April, all 7 team members slept in C1. On 14th of April, Sukhyna and Sydorenko climbed almost to C2 with light bags to check the quality of the route and came back to C1. (Same day Mamin had some sort of throat infection and stayed at C1 for rest with the remnant of the team.) On 15th of April, the same pair started with heavy bags (12.5 kgs) to put in C2. During the night the snow and ground became slippery, difficult to progress. After one hour, Dis and Prokhorov started as well with some heavy bags for C2. At 5800m both decided to turn back because of the difficult ground; as Sukhyna and Sydorenko heard by radio with C1 that their teammates decided to turn back, they knew they had no chance to continue up. Then came back to C1 as well (high point at 6000m that day). On 16th of April the team decided the day before to stop the expedition and begun to climb down, Mamin persuaded Sukhyna and Sydorenko to climb up again "to see the route." After 3 to 4 hours of climbing, the trio went up to 6000m and turned back for C1, packed everything there and left directly for base camp, then Ama Dablam Garden Lodge, 3800m.
