Route Notes Diane Westaway (email) - 3 Dec 2013 We arrived [at base camp] around 14th October 2012, and left around the 30th October. We placed camps at all the standard locations, including mushroom ridge. I can't remember exactly, but we acclimatised on Lobouche, so we only did one climb to C1 before a rest day then a day at each C1, C2 and Mushroom [camp], before a midnight departure for the summit on 26th October. Marty, Tshering Sherpa and myself summited on 26th October around 10 am in perfect conditions with lots of others. Tshering Sherpa was amazing. He works for Himalayan Ascent; his uncle is Lhakpa Sherpa [the agency co-owner/manager]. The only notable thing about may climb was that I did the world's highest handstand on the summit of Ama Dablam, but the Guinness World Records won't authorise it because they don't have a category for world's highest handstands. I also did handstands on Lakpa's ledge (5300m) and on Lobouche (6000m).
