Route Notes The summit party left C2 at 2:30 am on 14 October. They were five members, plus three Sherpas who where fixing rope as they moved towards the summit with the members coming along behind them. The members were Knapp, Meinen, Raass, Ruembeli and Waibel; the Sherpas were Dendi, Nima Tshering and Lhakpa Gelu. Meinen became very tired, turned back at 6300m and returned to C2. The others were on to the summit; Knapp was the first on the top at 4:00 pm. Non-summiting members: Lattman got to C1 on 12 October, but a chest infection sent her back down to BC. Ursan-Baumann also got a chest infection; he managed to reach 5800m on 12 October, but then retreated to BC. Wehner went to C2 on 13 October, but had a bad night that night and did not got to the summit with the summit party.
