Route Notes Summit team left C2 at about 6 am. The weather was very cold in the dark hours but sheltered from the wind. Wind picked up when above the Dablam, but pretty calm on the summit. Very clear skies all day and night. They descended to C2 where they arrived at around 5 pm. They were intending to descend further to C1, but the clients were too tired so the Sherpas continued to C1 without them. High Points of other members. Gibson reached about 30m vertically short of the summit. She was tired and turned back on 18 Nov at about 2:30 pm. Abuhaidar to 6100m, turned around 2nd pitch on Grey Tower on 18 Nov. Luetke-Brinkhaus to C1 on 30 Oct and 10 Nov. He slept there twice but had a chest infection that would not clear in the time they had. Briggs to C1 on 30 Oct; slept there but struggled with altitude (he had previous AMS history). Sherpas: Lhakpa Chhiri (Sonam), Pangboche, 17/11/1974 (Ministry states 3/5/90 as DOB) Phur Temba, Sibuje, Waku-4, 19/12/68 (Ministry states 24/6/89 as DOB) Stu Peacock (email) - 21 Nov 2012 I've attached the itinerary we used, which shows the dates we arrived at each camp. As you can see our summit bid was from Camp 2. Angus Bruce Jones, myself and Sherpas Lhakpa and Phur Temba reached the summit. Carrie Gibson turned around 30m below the summit. Walid Abuhaidar turned around from the second pitch of fixed line on the grey tower. Friedhelm Brinkhaus and John Briggs did not get any further than Camp 1. John was suffering with symptoms of AMS, headaches mainly. Friedhelm had a cold which had got onto his chest. Pasang the other Sherpa we had stayed with those two clients. I reached the summit at 12:30 hrs on the 6th Nov. Angus was 13:15 hrs with Lhakpa and Phur Temba topped out at 14:15 hrs. Jiban (Himalayan Ecstasy) - 13 March 2013 Three additional members were also on the Himalayan Ecstasy permit, but climbed apart from the Peacock team: Peter Worbs - summited on 1 Nov with Tashi Sherpa Christopher Wallington - summited on 5 Nov with Ang Kami Sherpa Maciej Lengiewicz - summited on 5 Nov with Ang Kami Sherpa Zachary Poulton was also on the permit and summited on 1 Nov.
