Route Notes Mecus and Yoon made an attempt to go for the summit and left C2 at about 6:00 am on 4 May. They managed to gain 20m, then five minutes later were back in camp: snowfall and wind drove them back and sent them (the only members in C2) down to BC on the following day in heavy snowfall and strong wind. The weather forecast was for snow to continue falling for four or five days. They abandoned the climb on 7 May.
