Route Notes Anderson, Bevans, Walker, Chhewang and Nima started their summit bid from C2 at 6:30 am. Bevans turned around from 6600m due to cold feet; he slept at C2. Anderson and Walker with Chhewang and Nima got to the top at 11 am. They stayed on summit for about 30 minutes. They got back to C3 at 1 pm and continued to C2. Walker and Merle spent night at C2. Anderson and two Sherpas spent night at C1. Merle and Postle started from C2 at 4:30 am. Merle stayed with Bevans who had turned around from 6600m. Postle summited same day and went down to BC. The summit day weather was cold and windy. Smith left the expedition on 29 Oct from Dingboche due to lack of motivation, and returned to Kathmandu on 31 Oct and left Nepal probably on 2 Nov.
