| Route Notes | Bradley, Gabbert, Wirthlin and Tshering Dorje started their summit push from C2 on 25 Oct at 2 am. Gabbert turned around 21,000 ft as his fingers got cold and difficult to move his fingers. He went down to BC same day. Bradley, Wirthlin and Tshering continued their climb and got to the summit, stayed for 30 minutes and descended to C2 where they arrived at 5:30 pm. They spent the night there at C2. Next day, 26 Oct all went down to BC. The weather on summit day was windy. The team was the first one to summit on that day. Behind the American team there was a Russian team going up to summit. Reberg climbed up to just below C2 on 20 Oct. He had bad cough and went down to BC from C1. Sherpa: Tshering Dorje, 20/07/1970 (5/4/2027), Kharikhola, Everest X13, Cho Oyu X5 |
