Route Notes C2.7 at mushroom ridge. The first summit party of Bradey, Thellersen and Sange Dorje left C2.7 at 6:00 am on 4 November, reached the summit at 10:15 am and went down to C2 at 4:00 pm. They returned to BC on the 5th. The final summit party left C2.7 at 6:30 am on the 5th, arrived at the top at 1:00 pm, returned to C2.7 at 4:00 pm and were in BC the next day. They were Bauer, Lines, Rogers, Lhakpa Dorje, Pasang Bhote and Sonam Tshering. One member left the expedition early: Hochmeister developed pulmonary edema and was evacuated by helicopter on 29 October. The other non-summiting members remained until the climb was over: Clotworthy went only as high as ABC on 28 October. She was not strong enough to do more climbing after a long trek she had taken before joining the team. Halliday was not well with miscellaneous ailments, got to C1 on 2 November and gave up the climb. Hollen also reached C1 on the 2nd, had no energy left and quit. Miller got a mild case of altitude sickness when he got to C2 on the 2nd and recuperated at BC. Nykanen was unwell when he arrived at C1 on the 2nd and turned back. Staples, the leader, went down with the members who stopped climbing after he reached C1 on the 2nd.
