Route Notes Approach: Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, Everest BC, Pheriche, Dingboche, Chhukung, Island Peak BC Chen, Lee and Gurung arrived C2 on 3 Nov to go to summit on 4 Nov. Next day morning Gurung told the climbing members to descend because he felt that members were very tired and also Gurung told them that team needed more Sherpas to go to summit; the members then descended. Chen slept in C1. Lee descended to BC on 4 Nov. Next day Chen descended to BC. Members said that they were tired carrying the loads, but physically and mentally they were ready to continue for summit. But Gurung insisted that they should stop going up. Ramesh went up to C1, slept there and descended to BC. The team returned to Kathmandu on 9 Nov and will leave on 10th. Hired: Prem Bahadur Gurung, 16/12/78, Ilam Pokhari-8, Lamjung Ramesh Simkhada
