Route Notes On 19 May Manson was following his Sherpa from C1 to C2, who was ahead and fixed the camp. Pemba Dorje said he called BC and asked about Manson who did not turn up at C2. Pemba was told that Manson left BC for Pangboche. As told to Pemba by Manson, Manson while climbing up towards C2, tried to pull up his rucksack by rope about below 100m of C2. Suddenly the carabinier hooked the rope and the rucksack loosened and the rucksack fell down. The sack contained money, camera besides others his passport as well. So he left the mountain without telling the Sherpa. Manson returned to Kathmandu on 25 May. No idea about his departure. Sherpa: Pemba Dorje (aka Nawang Thile), 16-17/2/53 (4-5/11/2008), Beding, Everest X4, Cho Oyu X8, etc.
