Route Notes Patagonia Ama Dablam Expedition - 21 November 2007 The expedition's only summit bid was made by Jaskolka, Nevala, Szelagowski and Ziolkowski, who left C3 at 10:00 am on the 14th of November, reached the top at 3:00 pm, stayed only ten minutes on the summit because weather was cold and cloudy -- no views to take pictures of -- and returned to C3 at 5:30 pm. They had no problems at C3. They were a small group and there were very few teams left on the mountain, so they had no problem about crowding at the limited amount of space available. Most members did not go high. They had been to Island Peak before coming to Ama Dablam, and a number of them were not motivated to summit another mountain (nine had summited Island Peak on 5 November). In fact, two of the original members did not go to Ama Dablam at all. The others high points were: Gron went to C1, decided that was enough for him, and left the team on 11 Nov. Klonowski went just above BC to 5000m, the Island Peak climb had been enough, and left 9th Nov. Koscielny spent three nights in C1 and got to 5850m (halfway between C1 and C2) on 13 Nov. Kula went to C1, decided he had had enough with his Island Peak climb, and left on 9 Nov. Pawlowski stayed at BC throughout the climb (as he had at Island Peak) because he had been seriously ill earlier in the season. Szewczak never went above BC and left on 10 Nov.
