Route Notes C3 just below normal C3 ledge. Jagged Globe Ama Dablam Expedition led by Stephen Bell - 13 November 2007 The team acclimatized by spending two nights in Pheriche on their way to BC. All members of the expedition made summit bids on two successive days. The first summit party consisted of four members and two Sherpas, all of whom reached the top: Bjoseth, Delahunty, Grant de Longueuil, Adam Hooper, Phur Gyalzen and Pema Chhiring. They left C3 at 5:00 am on 2 December, were on the summit between 9:30 and 9:45 am and down to C2 at 4:30 pm. The next day they were in BC. The second summit party consisted of the remaining four members and two Sherpas, but only Ang Dawa reached the top. They were Arcari, Bell, Billson, Larson, Ang Dawa and Pema Tshering. They all left C2 at 5:00 am on the 3rd, but the lovely weather of the day before had disappeared. Now it was very cold, windy and started clouding over that morning. Ang Dawa was on the summit at 8:00 am and was back in BC at 7:00 pm. At 8:30 am, Bell and Larson were at the prominent rock in the middle of the summit [200m below the true summit] because they were cold and descended to C1 at 5:30 pm. Billson got to 6500m because she was cold, went down to C3 to wait for the others and descend with them to C1. Pema Tshering took her to down to C3, then went back up to 6500m and helped Ang Dawa to escort Larson down to C1. Arcari got only about 20 meters above C3 and felt too cold to continue; he also descended to C1 with the other members. The Sherpas continued down to BC. It snowed heavily during the night, but all were safely in BC on the 4th. One member got frostbite: Bjoseth's thumb and three fingers got slightly frostbitten at their tips, but not seriously so. Sherpas: Ang Dawa, 22/7/81, Kharikhola, Jubing-1, Solu, Everest X1 Pema Chhiring, 17/12/83 (2/9/2040), Beding, Everest X5, etc. Pema Tshering, aka Pem Chhiri, 14/2/80 (2/11/2036) [he says 16/12/80], Chankhu-6, Dolakha, Everest X2, Cho Oyu X1 Phura Gyalzen, 24//1/84 (10/10/2040), Pangkoma, Jubing-8, Solu, Everest X1, Kangchenjunga X1, Cho Oyu X1
