Route Notes High point team left C1 at 7 am on 17 May. When they reached 6100m Schliefsteiner decided that group was not up to the climb and made them turn back. They turned back at 10 am. Schliefsteiner and Couture stayed at C1, where they arrived at 2 pm. Aubert carried on to BC, where they arrived at 6 pm. The next day other two members arrived at BC. Villet reached C1 (5800m) on 16 May. He did not feel well and descended to BC same day. He remained at BC for remainder of expedition.
