| Route Notes | C3 below the original campsite (far right). Kim Wui-Han, Park, Thilen and Nurbu left C3 at 08:00 hours, reached 6600m at 13:00 hours, but strong wind, cloudy and snowfall made the climbers turn around and back to C2 where they arrived at 18:00 hours. Next day to BC. Ha went up to C2 on 12 April spent a night then descended to BC due to headache. Kim Hong-Yeob climbed up to C2 and spent a night, was exhausted, descended to BC. Lee too climbed up to C2, spent night there, had bad dream, then descended to BC. Yeon went up to C1, he is a supporting member. The original C3 site was full of snow blocks and very dangerous for avalanche. C2 tent that was moved to C3. There was no fixed tent at C2. The team returned to Kathmandu on 23 April and plans to leave on 25 April. |
