Route Notes The team attempted to summit three times. Kim, Lee, Oh, Song, Woo, Yi, Thilen and Nurbu made their first attempt on 6 Jan and reached up to 6400m. There were several avalanches above the big serac and the team decided to return to C2. Kim, Lee, Oh, Park, Thilen and Nurbu made second attempt on 13 Jan. The team climbed up to 6400m. There was a very strong wind as it was not possible for the team to continue climbing then turn around to C2. Third attempt was made by Kim, Oh, Thilen and Nurbu on 20 Jan but they had to turn around from C2 due to risk of avalanche and difficulty to make route. On that day there were two big avalanche and three small. Ha remained at BC (no climbing done by him). Heo had backache while in Kathmandu and did not go to mountain; he left Nepal on 22 Dec. Joo climbed up to C1 on 12 Jan; she suffered from stomach problem and also had headache. Kim went up to C2 on 13 Jan; he was tired and had headache (no further climbing done). Lee climbed up to 6300m on 6 Jan; he was exhausted and gave up further climbing. Na climbed up to C1 on 12 Jan became exhausted and gave up. Song and Yi left BC on 10 Jan, arrived Kathmandu on 13th. Yi left Nepal on 22 Jan. Song will leave on 29th. Nine members returned to Kathmandu on 23 Jan and will leave on 27th. Oh is thinking to go to Cho Oyu in April 2007.
