Route Notes Nicholson, Austen, Bonfert, Lhakpa Chiri and Shera Sherpa reached summit at 9:30-10:30 am on 23 Oct. Team of 20 Oct left C3 at 7:30 am. Weather was windy and cloudy - no views from summit. They descended to C3 arriving at 1 pm. 21 Oct they descended to BC. Team of 21 Oct left C3 at 8 am. Weather was windy with patchy cloud. They descended to C3 arriving at 3 pm. Team of 22 Oct left at 7:30 am. Weather changeable. Patchy views from summit. Descended to C3 arriving at 3 pm. Next day BC. Team of 23 Oct left C3 at 7:30 am. Weather perfect. They descended to C3 arriving at 2 pm. Boersma got to 5800m and abandoned climb on 18 Oct due to thrombosis. Left BC on 18 Oct on helicopter. Claude got to C1 but had to go home on 17 Oct as his wife broke her leg back home. He had to look after her. Coleman and Doron descended to C1 on 23 Oct due to Doron's snowblindness. Mazur got 6000m but left BC on 17 Oct to climb Island Peak for training with female Sherpas. Rosenthal got to ABC but left the team on 14 Oct as he was homesick.
