| Route Notes | Team on 29 Oct left C2 at 7:30 am. It was windy and very cold. They descended to C2 after summit and arrived at 6 pm. Team of 3 Nov left C3 at 9:30 am. Morning was very windy but wind died down at around 11 am. After summit they descended to C2 (arrived 5:30 am) except Remensyder who stayed at C3 where he arrived at 4:30 pm. Team of 4 Nov left C3 at 10:15 am. It was windy and cold but clear. After summiting they descended to C3, where they arrived at 5 pm, except Manthy who descended to C2, where he arrived at 5:15 pm. Team of 7 Nov left C3 at 8:30 am. Weather clear but windy. After summiting they descended to C2 and arrived at 4:30 pm. Lorraine and Ryan Cooper got to C2 on 3 Nov but abandoned climb as Lorraine cracked a rib coughing. Keith got to C3 on 3 Nov but turned back due to fatigue. Hamblin got to ABC but did not go further due to mild AMS. Harrington got to C1 but had to give up due to irregular heartbeats. He left BC on 4 Nov. Leyden got to C2 on 4 Nov but abandoned climb due to breathing problems (cold). Herb Sayers got to C2 on 4 Nov but turned back due to lack of energy. He would have given it another go but there was no time. |
