| Route Notes | Gschwendtner left C3 at 7 am. It was very cloudy but still. He climbed with Austrian Alexander Giacomelli. He descended to BC and arrived at 8 pm. Hauer and Kirbach left C3 at 9:30 am. Weather was changeable. View from summit Ok. Descended to C3 and arrived at 3:45 pm. Hauer had noticed his frostbite (2 last fingers on left hand). The previous night he got them when he was climbing up to C3 on 21 Oct but climbed to summit the next day. He had no pain and did not go to hospital in Kathmandu, but thinks it's second degree. Trotter, Semmel and Pemba left C3 at 7:20. Weather very clear but very cold, about -20 degrees. Descended to BC and arrived at 8 pm. |
