When on top clouds scudding and very cold but only slight wind. 12 Oct 2004 - Jim Williams on another USA Ama Dablam: Berg had chest infection but continued climbing and altitude excacerbated condition with more fluids collecting in lungs: he then couldn't move because of oxygen starvation. Had to be put on oxygen by Sherpas between C2 and C1 in descent, and was carried from BC to evacuation helicopter that flew into BC. |
