Route Notes Had to wait to make summit bid because so many climbers on mountain, no place for a C2 and had to wait to go to C3, skipping C2. So did not have very good acclimatization and had headaches. Bianchin, F. Blais and Rambaud and Iman Gurung left C3 7:00 am and on top 10:00 am and down to C1. 22nd Escalle, Gelbu Sherpa and his wife Dolma Sherpa and Tashi Dorje Sherpa up from C3 at 6:00 am, at top at 9:00 am and also down to C1 to sleep. J. P. Blais frostbitten fingers from summit when took off gloves to adjust his harness. 1st summit party reached C1 at 7:00 pm; took long time because too many others on route too.
Accidents Only serious problem was J. P. Blais frostbite
