Other Summits Candrian and Walder summited Island Peak on Oct 23 and returned to Ama Dablam BC on Oct 25

Route Notes On Oct 21 Bolt and Merat left C2 at 05:00 hours. Bolt summited at 10:00 hours and Merat at 10:30 hours. Stayed about half an hour, then descended to BC where both climbers reached at 19:00 hours. On that day about 8 people summited including Spanish, German, Italian and some Sherpas. Weather was clear, little windy. On 22 Oct Grobert, Hornberger, Thilen, Ang Dawa and Rinchin Sherpa left C2 at 03:00 hours, summit at about 09:30 hours almost all together. Stayed about 10 minute on summit. Grobert and Hornberger descended to BC at 20:00 hours. Three Sherpas stayed in C1. Next day to BC. The weather was very windy. About other members: Abegglen went up to C2 on 21st, then he was tired and rest of time remained in BC. Candrian climbed up to the place between C1 and C2, decided not to continue as his girl friend Luethy got fever and wanted to be with her. Rest of the time remained in BC. Miss Luethy spent night in C1 on 21st, got fever, descended to BC and remained there for rest of the time. Walder had bad night in C2 on 20th, could not sleep, probably due to altitude, went down to BC and remained there. Sherpas (all from Makalu regions): Thilen Sherpa, Everest, K2, Ama Dablam, 18/5/68, Makalu-5, Tashigaon Ang Dawa Sherpa, probably 2nd time on Ama Dablam, Makalu-5, Tashigaon Rinjen Sherpa, Makalu-9, 1st time Ama Dablam
