| Route Notes | Went first to Chhukung Ri to acclimatize. Takeuchi intended to go to top from C1 but arrived at C1 late. 2 Dec summiters left C3 at 7:40 am, on top at 3:15 pm and returned to C2 5:30 pm by Takeuchi and Sherpas to C2 at 6:15 pm with heavier loads including taking video camerea. All to BC in Dec 3. Kobayashi 30 Nov to BC from C1. 4 Dec up to C1 moving slowly with both Sherpas. 5 Dec to C2 and 6 Dec to C3 very exhausted. He decided -20 degrees at 8:00 am temperature too cold and would be too tired to go to top, so went down to C1 and 8 Dec to BC and expedition finished. "Comfortable" rock climbing, snow climbing and mixed climbing, but for old man not so easy over 6000m says Kobayashi. |
