Route Notes Climb 1 1) Chessell and Jackson on BC at Pangboche on 1 Oct with Pemba Nuru from Ghat. Went to C1 on 2nd Oct and fixed ropes on 3rd and 4th to C2. Lot of snow (all earlier ropes buried) but warm making snow very soft. Now Jackson in C2 got bronchitis and it started snowing 6 Oct so down to BC that day and Jackson went home. Climb 2 2) Wood arrived Pangboche 27 Oct with Chessell after they had climbed Island and Lobuche East (both successfully on 16th and 25th respectively). 28 Oct to normal BC 4700m with Tshering Pande Bhote and Pemba Temba Sherpa. To ABC 29th at 5600m; 30th all four men on way to C2 directly, Wood got homesick. 2 Sherpas were on their way to C3 with gear when Wood decided to go home at 5950m, so turned back to ABC and Wood left and went to Namche on 31st, Chessell left ABC for Pangboche with both Sherpas on 1 Nov and BC on 5 Nov. Sherpas were on traverse at 6000m. BC 29 Oct - 4700m (normal site) ABC 29 Oct - 5600m xxx 30 Oct - 5950m-6000m by Chessell, Wood and Sherpas.
