| Route Notes | BC at normal site (all other expeditions there too) C2 on SW Ridge. Trekking agent said could climb until 1 Dec, 2 weeks beyond official end of autumn season but never received HMG permission to do so. So had no time to acclimatize. 15th all members except Rowe went from C2 to try for top but turned back at 6200m because slight altitude sickness which in turn was due to lack of time to climb after 15th, they were going too slowly. Slept in C1 on 15th. Rowe climbed to C1 twice. An old rope broke on descent but no one injured. Rowe never had a briefing from the Tourism Ministry, never saw his liaison officer. |
| Accidents | Rowe bad chest and lung viral infection (to Pangboche aid post twice); Yates got Rowe's bug |
