Route Notes BC at normal site above Mingbo. Too many ropes fixed on mountain left previously and very confusing as to which are any good and which not safe to use. Complaint by another leader that Mazur's team members were dangerously accidentally knocking off loose stones and ice probably justified: one member Ullin, had poor eye sight and might have done it; Dorje Tamang was clearing route and cleaning away loose items till Mazur told him to stop. Members left early as follows: 16 Oct - Wallis sprained ankle while practicing rock climbing near BC Weber had bad cough throughout his time at BC and above Kuhles had had enough 20 Oct - Bendixen had rapid heartbeat, probably caused by medication for high blood pressure Morimoto probable pulmonary edema Kroeker (summited on 18 Oct) Wallis and Mazur had intended to go directly to Tengkangpoche, but that climb was cancelled and no attempt made. 4 Nov, 2001 Swiss team leader Bolt complained that Mazur's team was so slow they monopolized the ropes and campsites for a week. Bolt's team placed their C2 high at 6000m and went to top from it.
Accidents Morimoto probable pulmonary edema; Bendixen rapid heartbeat; Dougherty respiratory problem; Weber chronic cough; Wallis sprained ankle
